The race "Urskogsloppet" is a running competition in forest terrain. From the start to the finish line its 19,5 kilometres. The race takes part on Saturday the 19th of June 2010. The start is at a place called Backe/Berg and the finish line is in the centre of the village Björna. The race takes place at the same time as the big day of the year in Björna, "The Björna day". This means that it will be a lot going on and a lot of people in the area when you cross the finish line. The race runs through a part of the hiking trail Urskogsleden.
This is the second time that the race is being arranged. A better and more unique place for a competition in running must be hard to find. Hopefully this will continue to be a yearly tradition with a constant development.
Urskogsloppet is an official seeding competition to Lidingöloppet .
